Unable to proceed beyond adding Plex account Android 15 Sony NW-A306

I installed Bookcamp on my Sony NW-AW306 (a Sony 'Walkman' running Android), but after I add the Plex account, I'm stuck at the 'Fantastic, you're now signed in' screen and my library isn’t presented. App version 2.1.2.
